Vascular Lesion, Rosacea, Broken Capillaries : Cynergy, V-beam
Vascular Laser : Cynergy and V-beam Spider and varicose veins, and other vascular marks Spider veins are small, dilated blood vessels that appear red or blue under the skin. While spider veins typically appear on the legs, they can also appear on the face or elsewhere. They may be in short, unconnected lines each about the size of a hair, or connected in a matted, "sunburst" pattern.
Varicose veins are enlarged blood vessels in the legs which appear blue and bulging under the skin. They are caused by damaged or diseased valves which allow backward flow of blood back down into the legs. Other blemishes which are vascular lesions include rosacea, port wine stains and some kinds of birthmarks. Laser treatment heats the veins so that they coagulate and stop functioning, and then the damaged veins are cleared out over time by the immune system. They are replaced by fewer vessels and a more normal color. The laser light is chosen for maximum absorption by the veins while minimum absorption by the skin.
Treating varicose veins by laser Varicose veins are thicker and deeper, and thus more treatments are required. A treatment session is typically 10 to 15 minutes long, and repeated at one to two month intervals.Lasers have been successfuly used to clear out unsightly veins, and the process has been improved over time. The current state of the art treatment is by the latest kind of Nd:YAG laser designed specifically for vein reduction. The Nd:YAG laser, also known as the Cynergy laser, is effective across different skin pigment races, including Caucasian, Asian, African-American, Middle Eastern and tanned skin. The Cynergy laser often removes a wide range of leg veins in 1 to 2 treatments, including vascular lesions from fine telangiectasia and spider veins. Large, deep reticular leg veins can also be treated. For the most serious cases of varicose veins in the legs, some surgery clinics insert a laser light fiber inside the veins. Another treatment to date has been “sclerotherapy”, whereby a medication is directly injected into a varicose vein. Advancements in laser technology for treating veins has resulted in the use of longer laser exposure time (or pulse durations) to enable more effective removal of larger diameter leg veins while reducing the risk of skin burning and bruising, and to improve healing times. However, for cases of large varicose veins, we must first assess your condition before we decide whether or not we think laser treatment is your best option.
Rosacea Rosacea is a common but poorly understood disorder of the facial. Rosacea cannot be cured, but it can be controlled.Because of its red-faced, acne-like effects on personal appearance, however, it can cause significant psychological, social and occupational problems if left untreated .Today medical help is available that can control the signs and symptoms of this potentially life-disruptive disorder. Any one of the following warning signs is a signal to see a dermatologist or other knowledgeable physician for diagnosis and appropriate treatment before the signs and symptoms become increasingly severe:
- Redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead.
- Small visible blood vessels on the face.
- Bumps or pimples on the face.
- Watery or irritated eyes.
Rosacea-associated telangiectasis and erythema have been sucessfully treated with pulsed dye laser(PDL). The pulse dye laser, also known as the Vbeam laser, have been proven safe and effective in the treatment of variety of vascular lesions. The laser selective targets vascular structure through selective light absorbed by oxythemoglobinand pulse duration that prevent damage to the epidermis and the surrounding dermis.
Cynergy Powered by our advanced MultiPlex™ technology, the Cynergy Vascular Workstation treats all types of vascular and pigmented lesions including spider veins, and rosacea more effectively than conventional, single-wavelength technology, including: facial and leg telangiectasias; spider veins; hemangiomas; mature and blebbed portwine stains and other vascular malformations; rosacea; scars; and warts.
The Cynosure PL™ is a compact, portable, pulsed light module that operates independently from the Cynergy so you can easily expand your treatment options at any location. Cynosure PL is ideal for treating sun-damaged skin, dyschromia, pigmented lesions and the blush of rosacea.
Fast Treatments. Eficacious Outcomes. Cynergy treats vascular lesions with unsurpassed efficacy and minimal side effects. That's because our revolutionary MultiPlex technology enables the sequential emission of two wavelengths from the same delivery system—a high-powered pulse-dye laser and a 1064-nm long—pulse Nd:YAG laser.
- Both wavelengths are ideal for performing vascular-related applications. The pulse-dye laser is the "gold standard" for targeting vascular lesions such as portwine stains, as well as smaller red vessels, scars and rosacea. Likewise, the Nd:YAG laser is particularly effective at treating larger facial and leg veins.
- MultiPlex's sequential dual-wavelength technology has been proven more efficacious than single-wavelength technology because it allows you to develop client-specific treatment options including customizing the time delay between wavelength delivery.
- The sub-purpuric, pulse-dye laser converts oxy-hemoglobin to methemoglobin and micro clots increasing absorption of the Nd:YAG wavelength by 300 to 500 percent and thereby enabling reduced Nd:YAG fluence for enhanced client safety. In addition, since greater penetration depth is achieved, outcome results are optimized.
- Since Cynergy's versatility ensures optimal treatment parameters, clients experience fewer side effects. In fact, Cynergy virtually eliminates purpura a bruising typically associated with older pulse-dye lasers as well as dramatically reduces the risk of scarring.
- By emitting dual wavelengths, Cynergy provides safe and effective results in less time than single-wavelength systems.
Vbeam Laser This revolutionary advance in vein removal provides immediate results with no lifestyle interruption. It treats both red and blue, facial and leg veins. No needles. No incisions. No downtime. Watch unsightly leg veins vanish today!
What is Vbeam Laser? The Vbeam Laser is 595 nm pulse dye laser, use to treat the telangiectesias associated with rosacea using subpurpuric fluence and pulse duration, hydration to address dry skin, and chemical peels to monimize papule inflammation.
How does Laser Vein Removal work? The laser produces a highly concentrated beam of light that is attracted by the hemoglobin in the blood vessel. The vessel absorbs the light and is destroyed, but does not rupture or lead to extensive bruising as with older lasers. Because of our lasers deeper wavelength, the light is not absorbed by the skin, but goes directly to the vessel, allowing safe treatment of all skin types without burns or blisters.
How many treatments are required? The number of treatments varies according to the type and size of the vein. There is typically dramatic improvement with the first treatment. Additional treatments are usually necessary to achieve the complete desired result.
Is laser vein removal painful? Most patients experience minimal discomfort or no pain at all. For patients with sensitive skin, a very strong topical anesthetic can be applied to minimize discomfort.
Is it permanent? Yes! If you are prone to vein development, veins may develop in other areas, but not in the area treated by the laser.
